Extras & publishing

What this is: The final stage, where you set the feature image, author, social sharing details, and social posts, then publish the piece as a draft or approve it for scheduled publishing.

This is where a finished draft becomes a publishable piece.

Images

• Feature image: auto-generates when you enter the Extras stage. You can Regenerate it, paste an external image URL, or click Generate section images.

Author and metadata

• Author dropdown (WordPress): sets the byline / attribution.
• Open Graph fields: OG title (around 55 characters), OG description, and OG image URL, used when the piece is shared on social.
• Categories & Tags: type and add chips.
• Optional structured data schema.

Social posts

The stage auto-generates draft social posts for:

• LinkedIn (up to ~3,000 characters)
• Twitter/X (280 characters)
• Facebook

Each has a Copy button.

Gotcha: These social posts are drafts to copy and paste. The platform does not auto-post them anywhere. See social content for more.

Publishing controls

You have three controls, and they do different things:

• Approve for scheduled publish: marks the piece approved so a scheduled date can publish it later. This does not publish now.
• Publish now: immediately creates a draft in your CMS. It does not post to social.
• Revoke: removes the publishing approval.

You can also schedule the piece for a future date.

Gotcha: Publishing always creates a draft in WordPress or Webflow, never a live post. To go live, publish it from your CMS.

Gotcha: With Autopilot off, a scheduled date only publishes the piece if it has reached this Extras stage and you clicked Approve for scheduled publish. See content plan for how scheduling drives publishing.
