Find & work opportunities

Search all guides

What this is: The Opportunities tab finds keywords where you're already ranking close to page one, then helps you close the gap with AI-generated fixes.

Prerequisite: You need a connected website source and Google Search Console. If the button is disabled, connect them in Settings → Integrations. See Connect Google Search Console.

Find opportunities

  1. Open the Opportunities tab in the Website area.
  2. Click Find Opportunities.
  3. Watch the progress banner: it shows the current step and a percentage as it analyzes your Search Console data.

Read the buckets

Results are grouped into buckets so you can prioritize:

Tip: Near-top is usually the best place to start. You're already close, so small fixes can push you onto page one.

You can filter by bucket, status, or run, and sort by clicks, impressions, CTR, position, or change to focus on what matters most.

Analyze the ones you care about

  1. Tick the checkboxes next to the rows you want to work on.
  2. Optionally tick Include backlink deep analysis for a deeper look.
  3. Click Analyze Selected.

Expand any row to see its monthly trend, top queries, and recommendations inline, or open the full opportunity detail page for everything.

Work the opportunity detail page

The detail page breaks the analysis into sections: Overview, Quick Wins, On-page, E-E-A-T, Technical, Internal linking, Content gaps, Content recency, SERP analysis, and Content redline.

At the top you can:

Each recommendation gives you:

Gotcha: Terms like E-E-A-T and CTR in the sections and sort options are explained in the glossary.
