The Schedule

Search all guides

What this is: A month-by-month calendar of your content, and the place to set or move a publish date. Open it from Schedule in the sidebar.

Prerequisite: Scheduling a date is possible at any time, but publishing needs a connected CMS. Set one up first: WordPress or Webflow.

Reading the calendar

The left side is a month grid; the right side shows the day you have selected. Move between months with the arrows beside the month name, or jump back with Today.

Each day cell lists up to three pieces. If there are more, a +N more line appears. Click anywhere in the cell to see the full list on the right.

Selecting a day shows every piece on it, each with its status, its content type, and, for pieces that are actually scheduled, whether autopilot is on or off. Clicking a row opens the piece.

Gotcha: Not every card on the calendar is scheduled. A piece with no publish date is placed on the day it was last edited, so unscheduled drafts drift around the calendar as you work on them. Only pieces showing an autopilot badge have a real publish date.

Scheduling a piece

Two ways:

Either route opens a confirmation dialog where you set:

Gotcha: Dragging a piece that is already scheduled moves it immediately, with no confirmation and no undo. The dialog only appears the first time a piece is scheduled.
Gotcha: You can only drag within the month on screen. To move something to a different month, use Schedule existing content.

Autopilot on or off

This is the setting that decides whether anything actually publishes.

AutopilotWhat happens on the day
OnThe assistant finishes any unfinished stages and publishes to your CMS for you.
OffIt publishes only if you approved it first. If you did not, nothing goes out and the owner gets a reminder email instead.

With autopilot off, "approved first" means clicking Approve for scheduled publish in the Extras stage before the date arrives. See Extras & publishing.

Gotcha: If a piece has not reached the Extras stage and you try to schedule it with autopilot off, the save is refused. Either finish Extras first, or schedule it with autopilot on so the assistant can complete the remaining stages.

Creating something for a specific day

Create content for this day opens chat with a prompt already written for the day you selected. It does not send the message and it does not reserve the date: finish the sentence, send it, and schedule the result when it exists.

Gotcha: There is no cancel button for a schedule on this page. You can move a date, but to stop a piece going out, turn autopilot off and leave it unapproved.
