Integrations

Integrations overview

Search all guides

What this is: A map of everything you can connect to Content Pipeline, which connections are required, and why parts of the app stay hidden until you finish setup.

All of your connections live in one place: Settings → Integrations.

What to connect

There are three tiers of setup. Start at the top.

1. Required to publish: a CMS

To publish content, you need a website source, either WordPress or Webflow. This is where the platform sends your finished drafts.

2. Required for website & SEO features: Google Search Console

The entire Website area (website audits, the website index, Important web pages, and search-opportunity work) depends on your connections. In particular, Website → Opportunities needs Google Search Console connected.

3. Optional (but recommended)

These add signal and polish, but nothing breaks without them:

Why some features are greyed out

Content Pipeline hides features you can't use yet, so you're never staring at a dead button.

Gotcha: The whole Website area (website audits, the website index, and Important web pages) stays hidden or greyed-out until you configure a website source (a WordPress URL or a connected Webflow site). Connect a CMS first and these unlock.

Two things to remember:

  1. A CMS (WordPress or Webflow) unlocks the Website area and lets you publish.
  2. Google Search Console unlocks search-opportunity features inside the Website area (see Opportunities).

Content Output

The same Settings → Integrations page carries a Content Output card, which is not a connection but controls how published articles are shaped:

SettingWhat it does
TL;DR sectionLeads published articles with a short TL;DR and key takeaways, the block AI assistants quote when they cite the page. On by default, and any single article can override it in the editor. See the Written stage.
Brand profilesYour public profile URLs (for example your LinkedIn or X page). They are attached to published articles so search and AI engines can tie the content back to your brand. Invalid URLs are ignored, and the save message tells you how many.
Gotcha: This Brand profiles setting is not the same as Settings → Brand → Brand Profiles. The one here is a list of public URLs about your brand; the one under Brand is for running distinct brand identities in one workspace.

Recommended setup order

  1. Connect a CMS: WordPress or Webflow.
  2. Connect Google Search Console.
  3. Crawl your site so the AI knows what you already cover.
  4. Add optionals: GA4, documents, and visual identity.
Tip: Not sure what the platform does with all this? See What Content Pipeline is.
